Strictly Ballroom & Latin Dance Courses for 2010

We run 10 week course usually on Fridays from 8.00 -10.30 pm. The classes are suitable for beginners and Improvers. Please contact us for dates.

You do not need a partner but please wear comfortable shoes and come with the knowledge that you will not only have fun but will be learning with an experienced team of teachers and assistants.  The price of £12 includes a buffet and the chance to get nimble footed!

The classes are held at;
Freston Hall. (Welsh Church) Freston Gardens, Cockfosters, Enfield EN4 1HR. There is ample parking in and around the church.
There are 5 teaching staff, including 2 highly experienced British competition winners - headed by Denise, a professional IDTA teacher who has been teaching dance and exercise for many years.

For beginners, the first thought is that they cannot dance & get very concerned at the levels of other people. Please do not worry about your lack of dancing ability. Everyone is different & our pace is very gentle although you will get great exercise whilst learning. You will learn the basics of several Latin & Ballroom dances which will give you a taste of what partner dancing is all about.

Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and most important - comfortable shoes in which you can swivel. Trainers, sandals and rubber soled shoes are not suitable to wear for dancing.  The Ballroom dances we cover are Waltz, Social Foxtrot & Foxtrot, Quickstep and Tango. The Latin Dances are Samba, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba and Jive.
